What is Meta One?
Australian businesses are beginning to encounter a new name inside Meta’s business ecosystem: Meta One.
For marketers, one of its most significant features is the ability to publish more organic content containing external links.
This has become particularly important because some Facebook business pages are now being limited to two organic posts containing external links per month without an eligible paid subscription.
Once the allowance is exhausted, affected pages can receive a message telling them they have “0 links remaining” and promoting Meta One.
How much does Meta One cost in Australia?
Meta warns that subscription availability and features can differ, so businesses should check the actual offer presented to their account.
In October 2026, Reach Marketing Group reviewed a live Australian business account that was offered:
Meta One Advanced
First week free
AU$61.99 per month after the free period
The subscription screen stated that the account would automatically renew until cancelled.
How many link posts do you get with Meta One Advanced?
The Meta offer reviewed by Reach Marketing Group advertised:
8 Facebook posts with links per month
and
4 Instagram posts with links per month.
This is an important development for Instagram in particular, where marketers have historically relied heavily on profile links, Stories, advertising, and other methods of directing users away from Instagram.
But businesses should also look closely at the numbers.
The free Facebook account we reviewed received two link posts.
Meta One Advanced increased that to eight.
So an additional monthly subscription does not necessarily mean unlimited organic linking.
Is eight Facebook link posts enough?
For some businesses, absolutely.
For others, probably not.
Consider a hotel or live music venue promoting multiple ticketed shows each month.
Eight links could be consumed by eight events before the business has promoted:
accommodation, restaurant bookings, menus, functions, special offers or other website content.
An e-commerce business might have dozens or hundreds of products it would like to promote.
A professional services firm might regularly distribute new articles, individual service pages, appointment bookings, and downloadable resources.
Businesses therefore need to look beyond the subscription price and ask whether the allowance actually matches their content strategy.
Is Meta One the same as Meta Verified?
No.
This is one of the easiest areas for businesses to misunderstand.
Meta Verified for businesses is an established paid subscription built around verification and additional business features.
Meta One is a different subscription offering.
There is some overlap between the benefits, including verification and support features, but the plans should not be treated as interchangeable.
In particular, Meta Verified’s higher business tiers include links in Reels, while the Meta One Advanced offer reviewed by Reach Marketing Group specifically advertised additional posts with links.
Businesses should check exactly which type of linking functionality they are purchasing.
What about the blue tick?
If verification is your main objective, don’t assume you need Meta One Advanced.
Reach Marketing Group’s own Australian business account was offered the Meta Verified Business Standard at AU $19.99 per month in October 2026. As a starting point. There are different packages we can choose from, and they start getting pretty pricey.
That plan included the verified badge.
So paying AU$61.99 for Meta One Advanced just to get verification may not make sense if you don’t need the extra Meta One features.
Is Meta One worth paying for?
There isn’t one answer for every business.
The right question is not:
“Is $61.99 expensive?”
It is: “What measurable business result will the additional $61.99 produce?”
If additional links generate bookings, enquiries or sales worth significantly more than the subscription, it could be an easy commercial decision.
If the links generate little traffic and no measurable conversions, the money may be better spent elsewhere.
Track the results.
Look at referral traffic in GA4.
Measure enquiries and conversions.
Use UTM parameters where appropriate.
And compare the value generated against the subscription cost.
Another reason to invest outside Meta
Meta remains one of the world’s most important digital marketing ecosystems.
But every new subscription, restriction or algorithm change reinforces the same principle:
Businesses need marketing assets they control.
Your website should not exist simply as somewhere to send people from Facebook.
It should have its own ability to attract customers through SEO, local search, brand searches, direct traffic, referrals, and other channels.
Meta should be one route into your business.
It should not be the only route.
